Linda Sukamta
Australian artist, Linda Sukamta, creates one of a kind cyanotype pieces using elements from the natural world in her creations. Cyanotype is a photographic technique that involves placing objects on paper that has been coated in a solution of iron salts, then exposing it to ultraviolet light (sunlight) and rinsing with water. The resulting image is characterized by shades of cyan blue. Photo negatives can also be used as the object being exposed, resulting in cyanotype photographs. You can see Linda’s examples of this artform in the lighthouse and nigella images below.

"If the sight of the blue skies fills you with joy, if a blade of grass springing up in the fields has power to move you, if the simple things of nature have a message that you understand, rejoice, for your soul is alive."
