01. Photographer pick: Edgar Molina
Molina is a wildlife photographer based in the Bay Area of California. He picked up a camera five years ago in search of his creative spirit and a way to escape after a day behind a computer. After realizing human subjects were not his forte he turned to wildlife, and soon found a life-long love for nature photography — specifically, ducks. There's even a section of his website called dedicated to "Waterfowl in North America.”
You can find him on social media at @edgarmolina.

"The Outlaw Gunner" by Harry M. Walsh
03. Book pick: The Outlaw Gunner
In this excellent non-fiction book on duck hunting with terrific writing and an eye for detail, author Harry M. Walsh spells out what led to the market-gunning era and how conservation laws led to the rise of outlaw gunners. From baiting, punt guns, sink boxes, battery-gun boats and further tactics, the book is a comprehensive look at one of the most tragic — and also fascinating — periods in waterfowling history.
