03. Book pick: Sapiens: A Brief History of Humankind

A New York Times Bestseller, “Sapiens” by Yuval Noah Harari will take you on a long, awe-inspiring journey through the history of humankind, revealing the many reasons why we are where we are today. For an incredibly complex subject, the author presents it like almost like a novelization and breaks it down to simple enough terms for the average reader to digest.

100% worth the read for any type of adult audience. You can order the book on Thriftbooks, Amazon or from any of the sellers listed here.

The documentary 'The Rescue' came out in October 2021. Provided photo

04. Audio pick: The Rescue

You may remember a few years ago when a young soccer team in Thailand got stranded in a cave after a torrential rain storm. "The Rescue" documents the heroic rescue by Royal Thai Navy SEALs and members of the U.S. Air Force of the 12 boys and their coach.

The film is suspenseful, emotional, incredibly fascinating and might surprise you — there may have been a lot more to the rescue than you thought!
